Just One Bed

About Just One Bed

"Just One Bed" dives into the sultry, uncharted waters of a lifelong family friendship pushed to the edge by circumstance. What begins as a typical family getaway to Cancun transforms into a journey of forbidden exploration when Ashley, twenty-one and tired of being careful, and the son of her parents' best friends find themselves assigned a room with only one bed.

The narrative begins with the two families packing for their annual trip together, an undercurrent of tension already present: he has spent all spring trying not to notice the woman Ashley has become, and failing. Their parents, oblivious to the situation, leave the two of them to deal with their shared accommodation alone.

The story unfolds over one week where the initial discomfort of sharing a bed leads to a gradual but undeniable shift in their dynamic. The first night is awkward, with both attempting to maintain decorum, yet each passing day under the Mexican sun, fueled by cocktails and the liberating spirit of vacation, chips away at their inhibitions.
