Privacy Policy

This site is operated by Jenna Sahara ("I," "me"). This policy explains what I collect, why, and the choices you have. Short version: I collect your email only if you give it to me, I use it only to send you my newsletter, and I never sell or share it.

What I collect

  • Email address, when you subscribe to the newsletter or request an audiobook listener code. General newsletter signups use email confirmation. Promotional-code requests require an affirmative newsletter opt-in checkbox; I store the date, source, consent text, and confirmation or consent method so I can document your consent.
  • Site analytics, page views, outbound clicks, newsletter form submissions, audiobook-code request submissions, referrers, and rough visitor counts. I use a private first-party dashboard plus Google Analytics 4. I do not send email addresses, names, or message text to analytics.

Why I use it

To send you release announcements, deals, and occasional bonus content, the things you signed up for. My legal basis is your consent, which you give either by confirming a newsletter email or by checking the required newsletter opt-in box when requesting a promotional audiobook code.

Who I share it with

No one, except services that run the site, deliver email, protect forms from bots, and measure aggregate traffic, including AWS, Cloudflare Turnstile, and Google Analytics. I do not sell, rent, or trade your information. Ever.

How long I keep it

Until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete it. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe, and once you do, your address is removed from active sending.

Cookies and tracking

This site keeps tracking light, and asks first. Here is the complete list:

Google Analytics. Anonymous usage statistics (pages visited, general region, device type) with IP anonymization turned on. Its cookies are set only after you choose "Okay" in the cookie notice. If you choose "No thanks", Google Analytics never loads. You can change your mind anytime by clearing this site's data in your browser, which brings the notice back.

Cloudflare Turnstile. Protects the signup and contact forms from bots. It is strictly necessary for those forms to work and may set its own cookie while doing so.

Browser storage. Your cookie choice and small display preferences are kept in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device.

First-party visit counts. The site records anonymous page-view events to its own private endpoint. No cookies, no advertising identifiers, never shared or sold.

Your rights

  • Unsubscribe at any time (link in every email, or the unsubscribe page).
  • Ask what I hold about you, or ask me to delete it, through the contact form.
  • If you’re in the EEA/UK or California, you have additional rights under GDPR/CCPA; use the contact form and I’ll honor them.

Age

My books are for adults. This site and newsletter are intended for readers 18 and older, and I don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
